Infrastructure Systems Team


Required Experience & Technical Skills (Must-Have)

  • Hands-on cloud engineering experience with AWS (priority), including design and delivery of production infrastructure
  • Experience supporting Azure environments in hybrid cloud architectures
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience building automated, repeatable infrastructure
  • Strong Linux systems engineering experience
  • Proven ability to design, build, and lead enterprise infrastructure solutions
  • Experience engineering scalable, highly available hybrid infrastructure platforms

Position Summary

The IT Systems Engineer II designs, engineers, and evolves enterprise infrastructure platforms across AWS-first hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. The role owns complex infrastructure domains and drives automation, reliability, and long-term platform improvements.

Engineers at this level operate at the solution architecture and platform engineering layer, improving scalability, security, and compliance through intentional design and automation.


Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Engineering & Platform Ownership

  • Engineer AWS-centric infrastructure solutions aligned with architectural standards
  • Own core platforms including cloud services, virtualization, identity, and storage
  • Lead infrastructure builds, migrations, and modernization initiatives
  • Design resilient, highly available infrastructure supporting critical workloads

Automation & Platform Standardization

  • Build standardized infrastructure configurations and deployment patterns
  • Engineer automation for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management
  • Advance Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting practices to reduce manual effort

Reliability & Troubleshooting

  • Lead resolution of complex, multi-system infrastructure issues
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term reliability improvements

Security & Compliance

  • Engineer infrastructure aligned with security and regulatory requirements
  • Design secure configuration baselines and identity integrations
  • Support audit readiness through architecture and documentation

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Collaborate with network, security, and application teams
  • Contribute to infrastructure roadmap planning and engineering standards

Technology Environment (Representative)

  • AWS (primary cloud platform)
  • Microsoft Azure (hybrid integration)
  • Linux and Windows Server
  • VMware or equivalent virtualization
  • Azure Entra ID and Active Directory
  • Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling
  • PowerShell and scripting
  • Hybrid datacenter and cloud environments

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years engineering enterprise infrastructure solutions
  • Strong AWS cloud engineering experience
  • Advanced Linux and Windows Server engineering
  • Experience engineering virtualization platforms
  • Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell required)
  • Proven deep troubleshooting and systems analysis capability

Preferred

  • Hybrid cloud integration experience
  • Storage architecture experience
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments

Operational Expectations

  • Participation in infrastructure on-call rotation
  • Ownership of medium-to-large infrastructure initiatives
  • Flexibility to support maintenance and deployment windows
